Vermont artist Ryan Fowler creates illustrations that capture the distinctive rustic character of Vermont and New England.
He started his graphic art and illustration studio Native Vermont Studio in Middlebury in 2009. His art is now exhibited throughout Vermont and beyond and is available for purchase at various galleries and stores as well as online.
Doodle Coffee Co.
Among Fowler’s most popular pieces are his vintage-style “dog coffee company” illustrations, including this one for the “Doodle Coffee Co.“
The illustration features a white Labradoodle, shown in profile against a contrasting “weathered” brown background. The Labradoodle is intently balancing a cup of steaming hot coffee on its nose. The illustration is styled as a sign or advertisement for a coffee company named after the dog. A stamp certifying the company’s coffee as “Fresh Roasted Premium Quality” appears next to the dog.
The illustration is available from Amazon.com in several sizes as either a framed or unframed print or on stretched canvas.
Other Dogs Have Coffee Companies Too
Maybe you prefer a different breed of dog? After all, just as people have their favorite coffees, they have preferences in dogs too. Other popular pieces in the series are the Golden, Labrador, Black Dog, and Yellow Dog Coffee Cos. Like the white Labradoodle, each dog is intently balancing a cup of hot coffee on its nose. The dog is framed against a contrasting background, with a stamp certifying the company’s coffee as “Fresh Roasted Fair Trade Coffees” or “Fresh Roasted Premium Quality” next to the dog.
Other dog breeds are also available, in square or other formats, including a Boxer, Boston Terrier, Beagle, and Great Dane. You can find them at Amazon.com, either unframed or with various framing options.
If you love dogs as much as you love coffee—or even if you are just a fan of beautiful illustration—you’re sure to enjoy these dog and coffee illustrations by Ryan Fowler. Fowler’s complete illustration and graphic art collection, including additional dog breeds and customization options, is available at the Native Vermont Studio Etsy store.
